2008 Grand prix build advice...

So one of my coworkers had 6 kickers and 2 power akoustik "3000" watt amps in his car. And got offended when i told him it was not loud at all lol. So offended he sold all of it and want me to redo his entire system. He had 3 Yellow tops and got rid of 2 (He still has one as the main battery) The goal now is to emphasize the lows on a solid 2k RMS. good thing is he has 0 gauge all around and the big 3 done...but running a stock alternator. So my questions

What XS power battery will be good enough for the solid 2k?

What woofers are good at getting low but still be able to get loud?...Looking to tune the box between 30-33hz

Its a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix...Should I stick with 2 nice 12's? or will there be sufficient space for 2 15's?...No walls

Maybe a d2400 or a d3100 an he shouldnt have a problem. Check out the cadence s2 12s. Great wooders for the price. Dont forget the sa12, icon 12, or even a vvx 12. All will do great. I wouldnt worry much about the 15" idea.

I saw his trunk and pretty much it was all the 12's crammed in a box with some crappy "port"...It was bad lol. The reason I ask about the woofers is because I know they are all built differently.

All the woofers i listed will do the trick and im leaving some out. Like the dc lvl 3/4. But as u already know the response has a lot to with the enclosure itself

Yeah I know. Do you think the SA-12's will take the full 1k? I know they are STUPID under rated. But it would be almost double the power lol.

As far as the whole 'stock alternator' problem goes, the GPs have like 160A on tap on a stock alternator...it's ridiculous for a car that size, I don't know why it's so big. On a side not a couple years ago i ran into a guy with 6 pos kenwood 12s on a brutus amp with 2 duralast wet cell batts in the trunk. Showed him up with my single solo x 12 at the time. The look on peoples faces when they get shut down with all those moofers

2 dc lvl 4 10's in a aero ported box. box recessed back and the port external.thorshammer set up .loud is all i can say.pm me and i can elaborate a bit on this setup

As long as you keep the power clean, I'd say they'd take it just fine.
