i did in my caddie... roughly 3.5k on stock alt, stock front batt, and HC2400 in the rear

Yes you can, I have done it on my old car and seen nearly that on a Charger with just one HC2000. They do come stock with 160amp alts.

I have 2 T20001bd's, thanks to ztaebevets, and another forum member who's name escapes me at the moment, I plan to run with these beasts. I will post pics tomorrow. I would have taken pics today, but wife was on her way home from work, and this is our little secret!! I'm going to upgrade the Big 3 and get 2 PM D3100's. I was going to purchase a mechman 250 HO Alt today, but a rep from mechman suggested that I try just the PM's and the BIG 3 upgrade first. Considering my vehicle's electrical system charges about 100-120 amps at idle and 120-160 amps over 1000 rpm. The 250 amp alt has a less charging amperage rating at idle than my stock alt. What are you guy's thoughts?

i would buy a HO Alt just in case tho. I BET you will need it.

^^you can get them on ebay for $519 shipped each. don't kow how much stl_style paid for them though. they do look like beastly subs.

im glad you payed $500+ per sub for RE and not Jl audio equipment cause everyone would have been complaining about how much there equipment cost, go figure.

I have a friend with the SXT Charger and I agree with the above statement on the electrical. Its horrid. He has a JL a1800 and 160wrms to his speakers and the car does not like it. When he turns it up his cap shows voltages as low as 10.5. He still seems to think thats okay after replacing his ONE bat 3 times.
So all in all...beef up your electrical in there. Esp. with 4k+ watts

Hey Bro, the SXT charger is a V6. I don't think they come with the same stock charging system as my Hemi. I had a ZX1500.1 knocking my gas cap open with 2 w7's and a 5 farad cap and never seen voltage below 12.5

his was a 6... no electrical upgrades and he had minor dimming with a ZX1500.1

i guess you could run another fused run of 1/0 back to the batt in the trunk... then upgrade the batt itself (and add atleast two more)... imo that would be sufficent if you had the right batts

and as for vids the guys car got broken into a few days after i installed everything, thats why i havent updated the thread

they didnt get the subs or box (like it was gonna come out easy anyways //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif) but they got his radio, so no tunes for him... the customer was an "unsavory" character to say the least anyways

if and when he gets a new radio ill get updates on all that stuff, but it could do a decent little hair trick at full blast
