2006 Dodge Charger XXX Build!!!

What you doing for electrical&power?
WINNAR!

you are going to want to replace the alt with a High Output alt, Big 3 in at LEAST 1/0 gauge wire.

replace the stock batt, and add another batt, if you want a stout electrical system just to keep up with whatever you are going to power those sub's with.

a 600w amp will dimm the headlight sooooo bad on stock electrical in those rear batt Crystlers

I have 2 T20001bd's, thanks to ztaebevets, and Johnny101abc, I plan to run with these beasts. I will post pics tomorrow. I would have taken pics today, but wife was on her way home from work, and this is our little secret!! I'm going to upgrade the Big 3 and get 2 PM D3100's. I was going to purchase a mechman 250 HO Alt today, but a rep from mechman suggested that I try just the PM's and the BIG 3 upgrade first. Considering my vehicle's electrical system charges about 100-120 amps at idle and 120-160 amps over 1000 rpm. The 250 amp alt has a less charging amperage rating at idle than my stock alt. What are you guy's thoughts?

Be very careful with the electrical system in that car. It is very touchy when it comes to changes in the electrical system. It can cause all sorts of problems. Anything from drivability concerns to no start issues. I worked on the Chargers for a few years as a Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep tech.

My last system, was 2 12w7's ran buy a ZX1500.1. I had a 5 farad cap, stock electrical, and stock battery, it did pretty good. I think the batteries in the late model lx platform cars ****:crap:, Bat is big as hell too.

Ohh, glad your in here;), what would you do to the electrical, if anything, to make it stronger. More Bats?

I have a friend with the SXT Charger and I agree with the above statement on the electrical. Its horrid. He has a JL a1800 and 160wrms to his speakers and the car does not like it. When he turns it up his cap shows voltages as low as 10.5. He still seems to think thats okay after replacing his ONE bat 3 times.

So all in all...beef up your electrical in there. Esp. with 4k+ watts

out of curiosity... how do you plan on doing the big 3 when the batt is in the trunk?

and im looking foward to this build, if you need any help with the enclosure design lmk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
