2005 f150 cleanup and redone right

Yeah they should have deffintley used a distro block there and one more screw to keep it from twisting.

The speaker wires are fine IMHO.

I have been screwed out of 500 dollars before on an install because I physically couldn't do it.

Well back in some shape now and refuse to ever let a shope screw me again.

even if it was 5 years ago, they will have your install on file if they are any kind of decent shop.

I'd go back and tell them you were pulling it out and found that stuff, and you paid for a top notch install. At least raise some level of hell with them and show them the pics you have.

If the owner isn't there, ask for him or his phone number or when he'll be back. If I was the owner I'd want to know if my installers were making mistakes like the tape with the wire, thats bs

Wow..just horrible. I'm sorry about that man, i hope you can throw some **** fit and maybe get some of your money. You guys gotta remember that he got a discount cause he paid in cash...probably means they didn't write down a single thing.

Its a 2004 that I bought in late december of 03, the install was early 04, I said 4-5 years I thought?
Makes sense. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Good luck fixing all that mess //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I that is what I was thinking about them not having information on my install. I would probably end up making a fool of myself. Ill look around salvage yards since that plastic piece cant be all that popular.

I have learned my lesson though, which I guess is what life is about. (wow, sounds kinda deep)

****, I was looking at getting some DD's from them, as they're one of the few dealers in the area. Looks like I'll be driving down to Clear Lake instead...

G/L with your install from a fellow F150 owner (2006) and Texan //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wave.gif.002382ce7d7c19757ab945cc69819de1.gif

I wouldnt just because Im really sore at them right now. You just dont do things this way, especially when your putting your name on the install. Best of luck with you though.

Ps. I almost put 2 1508's in my truck. . .

one texan to another, id contact DD, show them what their "authorized dealer and installers"

are doing and get DD to tell them thanks but we will find a quality shop to pander our goods. If I was DD I wouldn't want my product associated with that ****

listen, the reason they made you pay cash (cheaper) was so they can get in, and get out, they dont give a rats ass about you, they just want quick sales. Alot of shops do that, if you pay credit, debit, check, you have proof that they did a shitty job, then you can get them introuble, and theyd have to refund, but i honestly doubt they kept you on file.

The Shops around here make you pay cash when they do a "Full" % of tint on your car, only because when you get pulled over, and you say, i paid so and so a check to do this and if there a business they can get in trouble. If you pay in cash, they can deny every little bit of it, and act like it never happend.

Shops are a bunch of bs, (not the good ones, but the ones who try to screw people over) and sometimes there your only resorce... so dont feel bad, atleast your doing it yourself now.

real talk right there.

Question though, When doing an amp rack if its a box, and I run fans the fans dont have to directly be blowing over the amps correct? I planned on just running4-6 fans constantly bringing in cold air to the box and exhausting warm air out of the box. I am in a bind in my install right now trying to build my amp rack! and how im gonna lift up my rear seats.ill post my updated pictures tomorrow night, I just realised I havent put up any updated photos!

They don't have to blow directly on the amps. I built a plexi covered amp rack for a Camaro with fans in one end and an intake on the other. Worked great. Just some circulation is all you need.

I finished laying my raammat bxt on the floor. Ill probably start ensolite here soon.

I threw down some sheet metal in my atempt to seal up as much as I can. This was difficult thought with all my wire I had going everywhere. Being its my first time, I think I did alright there. Riviting went well, and I threw down alot of caulk to seal up the edges. The raammat bxt should take care of most of the rest!

Fixed the air vent issue, took some time but happy its done, Fiberglass wont stick to plastic to I just rivetied the fiberglass to it. Ill seal it up later before I install, and I might paint it even though I wont ever see it.

Also got around to making my seat extenders for the rear of my wall, I should have my amp rack installed by tomorrow evening, and I should have the truck put back together by tuesday! Excited.
