2005 Dodge dakota Wall. 6 12's

meehhh I hope better than 146. I did a 147.4 with my xxx 15 with a jl1000/1 running to it. and the box was tuned at 32 htz... at 4.3 cubes. I really hope 6 12's will do a little better than that with the box around 50 htz lol

Just all depends on what you are peaking at...... I raised my box tuning by 5hz, and ended up peaking lower by 3hz:crap:

did you just cut the port shorter, which also made volume go up on the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

how many cubes is the box as the port does seem pretty small for SPL....

well got metered as it sits. 147.8 sealed, 151.7 in the kick and this is at 64 htz. I will be doing a rebuild on the port to lower the tuning. Should get close to 150 sealed.

those subs will be giving out on you after a week if not less. and when burping just go till the meter registers 3 to 4 secs should do.

so I am going to add a little depth to the box. Give it a little more airspace. should see about 10 to 11 cubes. and Should I do a port completely across the top? or just go a little larger. or wider really. Can't do much larger than 6 inches high. but I could do up to 30 inches wide. giving me around 180 sq inches of port... Just wondering if doing a larger port will give me any better increase id dbs...?

Port on driver side would probably meter better if you could do it. My wall had the port up top, it was 196sq in.

16cubes per foot of box airspace so you said 11 or 12 cubes in the box? multiply that by 16 and make the mouth of the port that big.

as for the length of the port you can make it into a "L" port and it will be fine since the box is so shallow.

but just remember that those are entry level subs and wont take much if the box is wrong.

lol i know what they are the box is wrong now but they dont even get smelly. with the box tuned at 50 htz and i slam it at full tilt well below that htz and they work just fine. but im selling all 6 for 200 and im going to go with 3 15's or maybe 2 15's not sure
