2003 Bravada Radio & Isimple Gateway

Any suggestions on interfacing Ipod Touch to my 2003 Bravada radio? I tried to hook up the Isimple Gateway (p/n PXAMG plus harness p/n PGHGM5) ) but my radio (stock Delco P/N 15183817) would not recognize the device. Must not have XM. Also, I couldn't find info on how to pull the radio in this vehicle so stumbled through it. If you want my notes email me: flydaddy97@yahoo.com. Probably will end up buying a new radio.
