Its an "inside joke" sort of on this forum. It was funny about 2 years ago, but now you will hear every idiotic noob trying to sound cool by saying it. Completely disregard the opinion of any retard that attempts to make a Funky Pup joke. Anyways, you are 16, dont waste all your money on an economy car. Save up and get something decent. both of those kits look tacky and stupid, and that wing is even worse looking. You will have to basically paint the entire car if you get a kit and wing btw because 8 year old paint wont match brand new paint so figure another 3-500 for paint. Its going to be dumb to waste all your money on making your car look dumb. SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR COLLEGE I know I wish I did, because now i work 40plus hours for 10 an hour to pay for previous semesters and couldnt afford this years...

--Background Information on the Car--

Bought this baby for $2,000. Well, not really. I put $1,000 of my money towards it, my grandparents lent me the other $1,000. It had 108,500 miles on it and was in excellent condition when I first got it in late June. Now it's sitting at about 111,5000 and still in excellent condition.

Anyways.

Everything is stock: The rims, the sunroof, the spoiler, and the cheap ground effects. What I really like about it though is, it's a 5-speed manual transmission. I love driving a stick. When I first got the car, I didn't know how to drive a stick. Yet within about 2 weeks or so I was fine.

But I might be getting some money directly rolling in to me every month come December. At least $700 USD. Why? My dad died in 2001 when I was 7. Ever since then, Social Security has provided my mom with money for my brother and I. We get at least $700 a month EACH. That money is supposed to be spent on us. What does she do with it, and what has she done with it since 2001? Pretty much blew the money.

At the start of this summer, I moved out and I have been living with my grandparents ever since. Well since I'm not even living at my house, my mom is still getting at least $700 a month to spend on me, yet I don't live there. So come this December, my grandparents are going to take custody of me and therefore the social security money will be directed to them, and then they will hand it right over to me and I can do whatever I want with it.

--What am I going to do with this AT LEAST $700 USD a month?--

I plan to pimp my ride. I'm going for all out appearance for it. I'm not really putting anything for performance to it except for a muffler/exhaust/whatever it is that gives that low "rumble" noise to the car's exhaust. I'll be starting off with a sound system, not just subs + amps, but the whole nine-yards. I'll then move to a window tint, then to a spoiler/rear wing, then giving my car the "rumble" noise (dunno exact term or what gives it that sound), then towards a body kit, then car vinyl, then new head lights and tail lights, then a fog over my head lights (maybe tail lights too, idk), then the last thing I'd do is use either Neon or LED underbody lights and also purchase lights of the same color to put UNDER my front and front passenger seats.

--What is this thread/topic/post for?--

I'll be browsing and searching through many exterior and possibly interior appearance enhancements and be posting them here to keep my collection of options. I also welcome any suggestions and opinions you guys would have towards the upgrades or options. This is basically the very beginning of a car enhancement/upgrade log if everything pulls through and I start getting money come December/January.

Please do yourself a favor and don't waste your money on this crap. Just get a tint and a decent system and save the rest of your money. Give some to your grandparents for taking you in. You have to think more responsibly.

Well just tint it and put some wheels on it and that'd be an easy not to expensive mod that would make it look alot nicer.

500 used rim tire package. There are tons of used sets out there for cav's sunfires.

700 on a system..Believe me. It doesnt take alot to get a cav loud.

25 on blacking out the taillights w/vht (?)

I try to put as little into a car that i cant take off when i sell it. no body kits..

If its got the 2.2l those thing are great engines..The one my p's gave me when i was younger had 150k..only replaced the alt, valve cover gasket and plugs/wires.

NO BODY KIT!!!!! theres a guy who lives around me and has a body kit on a 2dr cavaliar like yours and thinks its the best thing since sliced bread, my beater buick i had would out run it.... just do what everyone else says and do a mild system, tint, maybe rims, and smoke the lights

I spent $100 on my first car, did the normal tune-up, changed a few gaskets, and fixed a wiring issue. Spent around $400 total. That was 5 years ago, still have the car. Only put on around 30k. The engine knocks, the carpet is nasty (now that it sat at an impound lot for over 3 months with the windows down, ******' *****), the door covers are falling off the radiator fan doesn't work and it leaks anti-freeze. I won't sell the *****...
