2002 altima firewall HELP!

Hey all im a first time nissan owner and im trying to run my power wire and it looks like im going to drill. This car is impossible to get to a nice spot to drill from under th hood, anyone know a safe spot under the drivers side to drill? it seems theres way too much in the way :/ please let me know with any ideas i dont want to drill into an expensive mistake. Thanks

you can always run it under the car to the rear. Use lots of zipties to secure the wire nicely.

no i dont want to do that :/. I might go by the hood cable relase under the wheel well, splash gaurd but id rather know of a safe place to drill. any installers out there that have done an 02 altima?

hmm, no factory openings? is it a stick or automatic?

If I could only see it. I know I have done it, just dont remember how. If your car is an automatic, you should be able to drill through the clutch knockout.

It is an automatic. i read on a nissan forum i cand rill by this perforated diamond shape under the dash but it seems that would drill into some brake equiptment.

I don't get the idea of running power wire under the car to avoid making holes. Don't you have to get the wire inside of the car eventually, and making a hole?

yeah but the thought behind running under the car is that it elimates alt whine and other sound problem. And it is also easier to drill in the trunk see as how u have more room.

but that is what ppl say.

i got it done the diamond shaped cut out was for drilling

I ran my 4 ga through the driver fender in my 02. Hve to remove fender liner, removing tire will help.
