2001 Grand Am aftermarket stereo wiring help Please

Hello I have a 2001 Grand Am that the factory wiring harness has been cut out. I am trying to install a Pioneer DEH-X6810BT. I can not figure out where some of the original wires need to be connected. I have figured out the speakers so far. I thought I had the power and the grounds right but the stereo is not powering up. The wires I can not figure out are the 2 purple(class 2 serial data & gain control system), pink(radio on signal), light green(remote radio control signal), dark green(amplifier control), gray(instrument panel light supply 1) & brown(park lamp supply voltage) there were 2 grounds which I assume must be together.

This is the wiring colors for the stereo,

YELLOW = 12 Volts Constant +

RED = 12 Volts Ignition +

BLACK = Ground

BLUE / WHITE = AMP or Power Antenna On +

GRAY = Right Front +

GRAY / BLACK = Right Front -

WHITE = Left Front +

WHITE / Left Front -

VIOLET = Right Rear +

VIOLET / BLACK = Right Rear -

GREEN = Left Rear +

GREEN / BLACK = Left Rear -

you need a Class II Data Bus interface adapter - GMOS-01

Metra Online

this will connect to the factory wiring and provide the ignition turn on (red) source. it will also retain all safety chimes and other Class II Data Bus data.

you should fix the cut harness. get a replacement harness for the car and solder the wires back into place. then get the GMOS-01 adapter - those wire colors will match your aftermarket radio. this is the correct way to install a radio in your car.

Ok I bought the GMOS-1 Class II Data Bus Interface Adapter like you said. Got that wired up and ready to go. I also bought the Factory 2001 Grand Am Harness Metra 71-2003-1. However none of the wire colors match. I did find the wiring schematic http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/GUYVANIDERSTINE/2010-06-28_102526_B.gif but am not sure where the 2 purple wires go. 1 is in spot A2 on the schematic and says it is "Class II Serial Data". The other is in B6 on the schematic and says it is "Gain Control Signal" they are both just purple no other colored lines on them and are the same shade. I am not sure what will happen if they get hooked up backwards and how will I know if they do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
