Hey thanks for the information. I guess I will do 1 10" with a ported box under there.. If I do a box custom to fit under there.. will it sound good? Like how do you port a box anyway? I was planning on them hitting the back if its possible? or else the top cuz if they face the front whoever sits in the back will put a show trough em....I have the exact cab and I can tell you a 12 will not fit under the rear seat. (firing forward anyway) Dont know if you will like the sound if you fire up or down. If you do fire up, prepare to hear the roof rattle more than the subhad 4 12vs (2 firing forward and 2 firing up) 500w rms each and actually heard the roof rattle louder than the bass.
I got 2 10's under there (sealed) but had to raise the seat ~ .75 inch. Ran 750w rms to each and was very happy until they melted down due to my bad. There should be two bolts on each leg of the seat and two clips at the top of the back. Once the bolts are out pull the legs forward and that should give ya room to push the back down and out. I drilled the stock holes out and went back with 5/8. I was still using the seat and wanted to make sure they stayed put. Also, the brackets that the legs of the rear seat bolt to will come out as well - they are not welded in.
As of now I have just pulled the rear seat out and am getting ready for a dual 18 or triple/quad 15 set up.
I have a single 15 in ~1.5 cuft sealed box that I am moving around to find the best position before building the big box. So far firing it under the driver seat and under the passenger seat seems to be the best spot.
Oh yea, if you start shaking your steering colum with a lot of bass (or the tilt) - beware that the wiring harness is too short and might have some problems with your headlights and insturment lights.
Hope that helps
So would a rectangular box be good? I see ltos of box for sale but there more of a square then a rectangle.
