2000 watts at 2ohms other than kicker

Yep dual 1. Fully loaded.
Alpine MRP-M2000? Overpriced as f***, but it'll give you 2k at 2ohms.

A better option would be to wire an amp down to .5ohms and make sure your electrical can back it up. Or you can strap together a pair of 1ohm stable amps.

Why don't you like your DPX11551? The amp is a monster, and you're the first person I've seen on these forums to be rockin' one (DIYMA wen't crazy when these amps were on clearance at Crutchfield). If you're really looking to move up from 1600w to 2000w, I doubt you'll hear a difference at all, MAYBE half a db. You'd need to double the power (so 1600w to 3200w) for a 3db gain, so I don't think it's worth it just to go from 1.6k to 2k.

I agree with you, my clarion has been really good to me and most definitely is a beast. But I'd like to upgrade. I was actually looking at the the stetsom 2k5d 2ohm version. It's double the power at 2ohms and once I sell my clarion I'll probably pick it up. What are your thoughts on that stetsom amp? My clarion is the hybrid G/H and the stetsom is class D is there any difference between the 2? I know they say that g/h has the sq of a/b with the power efficiency of a D. Does it really matter? I also need a new battery, other than kinetics what would you recommend for my current amp and for a future amp? I don't plan on adding another battery because there is no where for me to put it as this is all in my quad cab dodge pickup. Thanks for the replies guys!

i have never heard a bad review of the ap 30001 except for a few newbies running stock electrial, lol. dont listen to people who bash and have no experience.

how many of the ap's have you heard of dieing? or not putting out the power?

Ive read on a few different forums people saying they are overrated. I have no idea other than that. So is the ap 3000.1 a pretty good amp? I've got a 0 run to power it and a 160 amp alt but I need a new battery. Other than kinetic what would be a good bat? Like I said before I can't run 2 batteries.

How many of the ap's are built like a pile of shit, all of them. But yea, they do rated...

You will most likely not be able to hear a difference between two similarly spec'd amps of class D topology and class G/H topology - only if one is putting out quite a bit more power than the other will you be able to tell.

Power wise, you'll be fine since it seems you have a nice alternator and you're in the market for a new battery (Kinetik, Shuriken, Deka Intimidators, XS Power/Powermaster are all good brands). Get the biggest battery that will fit in the stock location. If it will fit, the Sears Diehard Platinum is fairly good (the biggest model, I can't remember the specific group size though). Make sure to do the big three upgrade, it'll help your electrical system in every way possible and help you get the most from your alternator and battery.

The Stetsom is a nice amp - I've only read good things about it and I'm sure you'll be satisfied. Here's the first review I found about the Stetsom where they clamped it: http://audioforum.termpro.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=20;t=014228;p=0
