2000 RMS upgrade

I currently have 2 x 12" JBL Subs playing at 600rms with an infinity reference amp wired at 4 ohms.

but I need more bass, I want to get a 2000rms set up, where the bass will always be playing at a minimum of atleast 1300 - 1400rms.

Can anyone recommend a good setup? and a price of how much its gonna cost?

This. I suggest starting with your electrical, but you need to set a real goal. I don't think it works out well when someone's "goal" is to run [insert value here] watts. You need to realize the space you have the work with in your car, budget, and what you want out of the set up.

Because 2000 is what I need, I have heard it and it sounds good, sounds like the right amount of bass that I need. why wouldn't my car be able to handle it? budget around £600 ?

It takes power to make power, do you know how many amps it will need to make 2000 watts? Unless you're talking about those cheap pos "2000 watt MAX POWA" amp that really only does about 350 then sure, but a real 2000 watt RMS amplifier will cry and die if you run it with a stock electrical system - it won't even make 2000 watts before it runs into distortion or go into protect and generally shorten the life of the amp.

You want to run 2000 watts properly and not get laughed at? Get two identical gel-cell batteries and put one under the hood and one in the trunk. Use 1/0 power/ground wires and a high-output alternator if you can, otherwise the two batteries should hold the voltage up for at least a couple of songs at full blast.

600 euros will only cover the batteries, wires and either a new headunit or one 2000 watt amp. It isn't cheap once you want to run over 1000 watts.

You car wouldnt be able to handle that many watts because too produce that much power certain requirements must be present. H/O alt/ strong stock alt, 1 or multiple battiers, 1/0 or larger wire, big 3, Large enclosure, thus large trunk space, and powerful amp(s)..

I suggest you never turn the volume down. you would need a 50,000w+ amplifier to have that kind of output at the low volume on your headunit.
if you want your bass to drown out your music that can be easily accomplished with settings.

good luck building a complete system that can sustain what you want for little more than 600+ $.. plus you will most likely have to pay for alot of shipping..

Heres a hint. watts alone don't dtermine how loud your system is. you could have really efficient subs and run it off 1000 watts and be louder than your friends who have 2000 watts
