Hello, my name is Grant. I'm having some trouble with my car's stereo system. This seemed like a good place to ask about it.
Basically, the left channel cuts out (front and back), except for the tweeter on the dash board. And the tweeter seems to be trying to play frequencies well below its range, but I'm not sure about that because I don't have much experience hearing tweeters alone.
The problem comes and goes randomly (alternating every 2 to 30 minutes). It is constant with CD, tape, and radio.
About 6 months ago, I took my dash all apart to get to the stereo, took it out, opened it up, and poked around looking for a good place to put a line in. I didn't find anything to work with, and I put everything back how it was. But I'm not a professional so its probable that I messed something up. I don't think the problem began immediately after that.
Has anybody dealt with a problem like this? Would it be good to take it all apart again and make sure I plugged everything in right?
Thanks a bunch,
Grant
