I figured i might as well post a build log of my build for my 2000 maxima. 0/1 gauge wiring all around

big 3

Sub setup:

IA Deathrow 15inch D2

SAE-1200D(or a used equivalent)

Ported box specs:

4 cubic feet

34 hz

50+ port area

Front stage:

Still deciding what i want up front but im looking at Hertz HSK 165 but i might go down to a cheaper price range.

I am going to be running my IA DR 15inch at 1ohms. I am hoping my stock car battery will be good enough after doing the big 3 as my head unit says its pushing 14v when my car is on but we all know how accurate that reading is //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I listen to lots of rock and rap and this will be used as a DD setup.

I'l be installing a car alarm some time soon also to protect my investment.

Got my 1/0 gauge power wire to do the big 3 and run a power wire to a distro in my trunk.

Bought a AQ1200-d and some 4 gauge to power my amp. Ordered inline fuse holders, ring terminals, 12gauge speaker wire for my sub, and some extra fuses.

I am going to run my amps of the distro in my trunk off 4 gauge with 120a fuse for the aq1200-d. All 1/0 gauge have a 250a fuse. Sound good?

Hoping to build the box and order my IA DR this weekend.

Pics coming up today!! Built my box yesterday just need to spray paint it and cut the whole. Should i put the sub on the top or the port side?

Ordered the trunk pack of Damplifier pro.

Will 12gauge copper wire be good for my remote wire?

I ordered the Sub monday so it should be here soon. I'l make sure to have lots of pics and vids.

I want to install my amp, box, wires, and do my ground's for the big 3, until i get another fuse holder, today But i was wondering if i would be better off security screwing my amp to my box or somewhere else like my back seat. I'm trying to make this as theft proof as possible or at least slow them down.

Well here it is almost the end of Dec. and no pics!!!!WTF......Anyway you should really enjoy the DR.It has great output with good transient response, so rock or rap should be no prob.

What size enclosuer you have for it?

Ya i know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I took my time getting everything together so I can do this right the first time and have as little fuk up's as possible.

For the box i just used one of the free ones for now sense lows is so cheap and they cut the wood for you. I got all the wood for this box for 22 bucks cut!

I used liquid nails and screws every 2-3 inches on 3/4th plywood. The box is very beefy. I think im just going to spray paint it but i'm not sure.

I'm going to try the port as close to the cabin as possible with either 1 or 2 seats down first.

Still cant decide on how im going to mount this sub on the box. On top or on the port side.

I wish my tracking numbers would update!! Anybody have an idea on how long a sub from SSA takes to arrive?
