GTOs are Pontiac, or GM. I don't know where where you heard that from.....

ok so it occurred to me that it doesnt make a whole lot of sense to wire from the front of the car, to the back, and back to the front..

wouldnt it be possible to plug my radio directly into the dash controller and not touch the radio cable..so my new radio can controll cd and the other one can still do am/fm transmissions..

or something of the like..because it seems unnecessary to need that much wiring to end up where it started..

Best bet is to pick up a MET 99-5716, and MET 40-FD10 & 40-FD20, plus a 12ft and 2 ft antenna extension.

Amplifier is in Left rear of trunk.

all that seems like a good plan..but i went to walmart this afternoon, and found an FM transmitter, so for now i'm going to use my old walkman to play cd's through ym stereo..

that is unless i can get my mom's cd changer from her explorer to work in my car..

thoughts..?

I just did a bit a research for you and found the following: there is no kit that allows you to keep the electronic controls and go to a single din cd player in the dash. check this thread for a bit more info on your other options: http://www.taurusclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52481
