2000 CRV dash install help

I am shopping for head units. I really want to have an EQ installed also. A friend has a cadence CEQ860 6 Band EQ that he never used I could get for free. I know my dash (hole) size is double DIN. Has anyone had any experience putting 2 full size DIN items in a CRV? Would it take fabricating brackets and cutting anything? Lastly, do I need to get a non-moving face HU, so it doesn't hit the EQ below it. Any input would be appritiated.

I will be paying to have this stuff installed, not doing it myself.

Please don't tell me some expensive H/U I should get. I'm a college student, and I am using a finite amount of Paypal surplus to pay for parts. I already have everything except for the amp wiring.

I'm sure somewhere you can find a double din to two single din kit

if not...probably gonna have to be custom done

O.K. You were right. I thought the typical single DIN with a pocket would have to be modified for an EQ underneath. But after your reply, I searched. I had to wade through the 100s of unhelpful hits until I found a good one. I'll post a link incase someone comes looking at a later date.

I still have to figure out if I can get a H/U that has a flip down face, or if the face will hit the EQ. Anyone know?

depends 100% on the units you're using.

probably won't be a problem for most things though since usually those flip-down units come decently far out and then down at an angle
