You don't need an amp. You already have 4x17W in SONY. You need good speakers (a pair would be enough). I suggest you to buy Focal -JMIa Access 165 CA1 (look at http://www.focal-fr.com for some specifications). They sounds very very good without additional woofer and are very efficient (92dB/W) -> no need for extra power.
To get 3dB louder you need to double the power. Speaker 89dB/W needs 34W amplifier for the same loudness (as Focal at 17W).
Average listening power is around 0,5 to 1W and the peeks are for bass beat.
