2000 Chrysler 300m, 4k rms rebuild. lots of pics

I was really thing about running two 12"s SX or XXX. But now i see there isn't too much room o these cars. Might just pickup 2 12's Se and call it a day. The battery is a b1tch to get too. Good luck on your build i'll keep an eye on it.
if you get creative theres room. 13 cubes total. in not getting creative lol. i have pics from today and yesterday. up shortly

you can see the false floor i made. Im going to build a battery tray on that to hold the batteries like so. theres enough room for a third some day.

i did a lot mroe sealing that this but this is all i took pics of i guess. it was real frustrating and shitty. i had to use my skate board to hold pieces of wood against the rear shelf while the gorilla glue dried. I didnt want to use screws because they will stick through the metal on the other side. this will all be coverd with edead 80 which im expecting next Wednesday.

Before caulk

101_0993.jpg

after caulk. the door also has weather stripping all the way around so it seals against the door frame. i might need to seal up the metal skin of the door better though, most likely it leaks, but this should be much better than stock, there was a lot of holes. I even put weather stripping in the handle, its not perfect but its close for a moving part.

I only got one door panel sealed up today. My passenger window has been broken for quite some time now and i was trying to fix that for a good part of the day. the metal clip which is used to bolt the window to the regulator was snapped so in trying to epoxy it...

Maybe I will start with a single 12' ported and go from there... It's coming out really good can't wait to see how it looks finish.
yea thats not a bad idea. If you want to do some minor electrical upgrades you can get into the 140's easy in these cars with one 12 especially if you seal it off to the cabin. but thanks a lot for the props man

hey guys sorry no pics today i went golfing with my father and then pretty much just added some split loom under the hood and fixed the passenger window problem. i got the passenger door panel on and remembered i forgot to seal up the outer door handle, It still sounds a bit better than before but i might go back in and fix that tomorrow or something, not sure if its even worth it tho.

Tomorrow i will probably try to seal up the driver door and maybe add some edead. ED sent me 50^ of edead45 so im waiting to see if there gonna send me another 50^ or if they want me to ship it back and then send me the edead 80.

o yea btw anyone got any ideas about what to do for the amp on the rear shelf. heres a few pics so you dont have to go back. im going to show pics with both amps just for reference but i decided that i DONT want both on the rear shelf. i put tape on it thinking i was going to glass it but im not sure how to approach it, im looking for some insight.

With your Big 3, I upgraded from 1/0 to 4/0, I got it from a forklift place here, I never have seen flexible 4/0 but this stuff sure is. I did notice an improvement.

you think? even though i only have a 200 amp alt. i might add another run of 1/0 if i have extra though.

hey guys sorry i havent updated in a while. the site was saying it was an attack site for several days and then i went to Vermont with no internet so i couldnt update there either. but any ways i got it installed for my trip.

I got a bunch of pics im gonna post in a few but theres a lot i did that i didbnt take pics of like was seal the other door panel, re run the speaker wires to the trunk inside the car lol

the mids sounds better with the door panels sealed. there still not perfectly sealed but there close. the door panels vibrate pretty good which im sure is inhibiting the sound. i may either glass them down the road or just put deadener on the inside of the panel. the inner door frame and outer door skin were already deadened with some roofing stuff but it dosnt have the foil its a rubber backing which made it pull up around the tight bends so ill probably re do some and add more with better stuff down the road too

i used ~40sqft of edead 80 in the car on the rear shelf, trunk lid, rear wheel wells, and trunk floor.

I also ran a second set of + and - 1/0 from front to rear but didnt hook it up since i needed some fuse holders, which i now have.

Its a total mess right now but it runs and thats what i wanted for my trip.

I have some really bad engine noise but i think its my alt, im pretty sure its going out. when the engine is at idle ~600rpm the voltage sometimes is actually less than with the engine off and when cruising around 1500rpm + the voltage is around 13.7. the odd this is that even when im playing my music full tilt and cruising the voltage never goes below about 13

What's up with the pix?
Hey guys sorry its been a long time with no updates. I got caught up in things before moving to philly and I never got to finish the build. I am heading home next week for the holiday and i will get some pics of where the project is as it stands. I will also get a few vids but its a mess right now. I most likely wont find the time or money to finish the project until im done with grad school in 2015 lol.

Ran out of time and just put the amp on the rear shelf only turned around so the words can be read. i eventually will glass this and cover it with suede.

I couldnt get my speaker wires through the boot for the life of me so modified the sunroof drain hose and ran the speaker wires out that and made small hole in the boot where I ran the wire into. I put loom on the wires to make it look better.
