whatcha think? 20.1 on 15" RL-P's? Went with an Orion 5000d but after the ordeal with Shane (snyper audio) I called Orion and explained the situation, gave them the serial number, which came back as missing inventory, faxed them the auction receipt i got from ebay and they refunded me my money. So anyways, i decided to get a real amp.

Also, is birch plywood the same thing as baltic birch?

I don't think so

birch plywood is 7 ply. 5 real layers and the top/bottom are ultra thin

baltic (from what I understand) is 13 layers.

Either is better than MDF is normal apps IMO. Lot less saw dust, lighter, easier to use. Not as easy to roundover on the port however.

The amp would be great for a pair of RL-P's. I would get the 2 ohm versions and drop her down to half an ohm.

yeah, i just emailed Mike at SS tho because the D2 15"s are NOT in stock but the D4's are. really want the 2's tho....start my box build tomorrow

What's the story behind the Orion? You bought one off ebay and it was stolen or what?

yeah.....there is an unscrupulous member here known as HCCAFan who had a little thing going on ebay. apparently he worked for Orion and had a partner in crime working in warranty/repair department. So he was selling Orions out the back door and she was sending them out under the guise of being a warranty item even tho they were brand new and then they must have been pocketing the money.
