I have a Soundstream reference 700s that is manufacturer rated at 350W RMS x 2 Channel, 700W RMS x 1. I had two audiobahn 12"s hooked up and they were playing really loud the other day, and they blew. Whether or not it was a result of clipping or not, im not sure. But the subs were rated at 400WRMS and shouldnt have blown to that degree, so it might have been clipping.
Rather than replacing the two 12"s i want to try a 15" since I've never had one. I've been debating on the Soundstream T5-15 Tarantula or the Alpine Type-R 15". Any thoughts?
Does anyone think I should get two Pioneer Premier 12"s (400WRMS) and scratch the idea of a 15"?
BTW Its a Dodge Dakota Club Cab, if it makes a difference...
