2-way + tweeter possible with crossover?

would it be possible to connect a 2-way speaker and a tweeter to a crossover. so it would be one woofer/tweeter and then a separate tweeter and those are connected to a cross-over.

speakers are Type-S components (has the crossover), and Type-R is the 2-way/Coaxial speakers.

i want to just use the Type-R Speakers with the Type-S crossover and tweeters.

is that possible/safe for the speakers?

You can not run both the Type R co-axials and the Type S components off of the Type S crossover.

The crossover will lowpass the coaxials, rendering the tweeter near useless, and it'll sound bad with a second set of tweets.

didn't want to make a new thread. i'm going with the co-axials. my question is i have custom brackets. i have have the window sealant stuff. do i put the sealant betweent the door and bracket? do i need to put anything between the speaker and bracket?

Rockford makes a coaxial like this with two tweeters, one or both you can move.
