I'm definitely a little biased, but I love one big sub vs 2 smaller ones. Something about them just feels more visceral or some shit.

XFL's are pretty beefy, but so is the wolfram. Displacement is king for basically everything, and that 18 is about 4x the displacement.

what is the box size for a single wolfram 18 compared to the 2 vxf 12s? This would be the detail that would sway me from one to the other. I tend to like the SQ from a single big woofer that I don’t need to crank to max levels to be loud enough for my normal listening level.

How much power do you have and what is your goal? Cone area usually wins out IMO.
