It sounds like the gear is bigger than what you want (if you get what i'm saying. And if you don't, have you ever tried to start in 3rd gear? you don't get going too fast do ya. the gear is bigger than what you want at that speed). If so, not much you can do about it, except get a different transmission, and i'm sure you don't want to do that. Or, it could be something with the computer. You can always get a chip to fix that, probably around $200, and you should get about %10-15 more hp. Other than that, i can't think of any other reason.

yep sounds like youre in to high of gear if youre running dont sift till youre at the redline on the rpm gauge therefore the higher the rpms the more power you produce and if youre at a low rpm at 3rd down shift and feel the power other than that what model of teg are you driving and what mods //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Get rid of the import, thats the first mistake //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif j/k

You dont need to get a new transmission, you could just get different gears, but dont ask me where.

There's plenty of things you can do to improve the power, just depends on how much money you want to spend.

5.0 eh? What year is it? I'm looking for some ideas for a custom box in my '91 Hatch. I hate having to have my back seats down to fit my box in.

Actually...i found a nice setup on a competition mustang. It was an MTX demo car. If you look on sound domain i know u can find it...I'm thinking of possibly a setup like that but i'm not sure what kind of costs i'm looking at.

yeah, but that's a twin turbo, and you would probably spend what, $10000 to buy one? i bought mine for $2500, so that leaves $7500 for a 20 psi supercharger, new heads, new intake, fuel pumps and regulators, msd ignition, and lakewood traction bars, etc., making more like 450hp:)

Yeah..i think it was a fiberglass box, with those 3 MTX8000's. Yeah, you could access the controls from outside and I know you could also hook it up to an external power system for competition.

You can get around 18 psi i think from Vortec's S-Trim Charger with the optional fans and pullies. But ya know what...horsepower doesn't mean shit. It's 1/4 times ur looking for //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif 14.46 Isn't a bad 1/4 time for my stock Stang. LoL...20 psi tho...You'd basically be buying a brand new engine =) That's alright tho..my friends Chevy 350 should have about 600hp after it's done being built..Considering that's motor only. He should hopefully be running high 10's with that motor and car setup.
