k first thing, my sub amp is sitting on top my sub box. the PGR terminals are on the right side and its grounded on the other, kind of long for a ground which does that have something to do with it overheating rather quickly? i could shorten the ground by maybe 1 to 1 1/2 ft if i ground it on the other side. but i dont have a drill so i want to ground it in the same screw that my components amp is grounded. will this cause problems having a 400w component amp and 1400w sub amp grounded to the same spot?
ok and the fan placement. while i battle to keep my sub amp from overheating, im debating where to put the fan i have. most of the top is perforated. would it matter if i put it at the perforated end so the air could flow through the amp and hit all of the electronics or should i put it at the other end where its actually getting "too hot"?
