IMO it would depend on the front stage. I wouldn't look for a 15 to blend very well with 4x7's for example, nor would I only want 10's if I already have 8" or strong 6.5 midbass speakers. But if he doesn't care about all that and just wants to boom, the 15.

Good advice though. Boom+Loud = 15; sound good with rest of ????? system most likely the 2 10's. So get the 15 and address the front stage!

Exactly what I was thinking. I was wondering why nobody mentioned two 12"s. With 5 cubes you could have a good ported box for two 12"s.
