Thanks for all the help guys. I got my amp in the mail today. I am looking at the performance verification certificate and it shows 714 @ 2 ohms and 975 @ 1 ohm.Will 1 10w6 hold that much. Also I noticed that the 10w6 recommend space is only .6cu ft. So I could put 2 in the 1.41 space I have. I am just worried that will be to much for such a small car. Please let me know what you think thanks

just set your gain and you will be ok. I'm not sure what the most power you can run to a W6 is, but you can ALWAYS turn your gain down a bit to run it at RMS.

DLS is your another great option but you seem to want to stick with a more mainstream sub (I understand as it is hard to find reviews on them). The DLS has less mounting depth (which is the issue for me) although they are I believe about $400 each.

You could always buy one W6, and then try adding the other one later if it is not enough.

I would really like to go with something different. Its just the cheapest I found dls is 450 shipped. Will that sub hold 714 watts? I can't afford 2 at that price. I can get 2 w6's for 489 on ebay.

You should be able to get 2 W6's for that price.

10" Nobellium is 500 RMS

10" V2 W6's are rated at 400 Watts RMS

I have heard dub6's and they are good woofers and are considerably cheaper if you don't pay near retail (My Buddy got 2 for $400). But from my research I THINK the DLS would have higher SQ.

Depends on your budget.

I have not heard them in person but I have heard from people that chucked other subs and stuck with them. Sound better and higher SQ is the same thing in my book. The 2 W6's would be louder. W6's are good subs, it jsut depends what your after. A ported 10" DLS could probably be louder then the 2 W6's but thats pretty typical of ported boxes, and you lose some of the SQ your paying top dollar for. I'm Biased I find myself enjoying sealed enclosures more that ported.

You could always pickup a second of either woofer later as well.

You could also do a single DLS 12" or W6 12" right?

Personaly I'm interested in the Fi-Q's (but they won't fit under the seat in my truck) just because they are different and cheaper than W6's (which also don't fit under my seat), and because I can't afford DLS either (And It does fit under my seat).

My Buddy has 2 W6's 10" powered off alpine PDX and they sounded real clean. My Assassin in a ported box was probably louder than they were at certain frequencies but the Dub 6's had a very noticable authority down low. Now that my Assassin is in a sealed box the SQ is on par maybe better, and they get decently low , but no where near as loud!

In the z you can only fit 1 or 2 10's under the strut bar. There is not much room there at all. Its a very small sports car with only 2 seats. Thats why I don't think I need anything real loud. Weight is also a concern.

I assume you already have your frontstage taken care of;, if not I would go for the TC or Fi (cheaper) or 2 Arc Audio (ARC Series with black cones) 10's and invest the rest for the frontstage I know what a Z is, I want one, but I'm still paying off my titan for another 3 years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Another good SQ woofer is the Arc, but it's not going to be as loud as the W6. I think the one I listened to had great SQ just like my Assassin. They are on ebay for like $100 for a 10" only 300 watts...2 of them would probably get decently loud have excelent SQ (better than W6 probably) and cost less, it just depends what you want.

How many amps is your alternator? I think I may run into trouble on my titan with 1500 watts total, it only has a whimpy 160 amp alt...

I have a Q 12, just got it. It's sealed right now in around 1.5 cubes. Sounds amazing, and is much louder than my buddy's 12w6v2. I'm also running 1000wrms and he is running 500.

I think the Q is a better choice due to the price. Both however, are really nice subs.

The IDMax is an SQ sub that can get loudish. Same vein as the Q or the W6. You really can't go wrong with any of the subs you listed. They will all provide very nice sound. IMO the deciding factor would be price. Go for a pair as well. You can get the same level of output going easy on a pair of subs as you can from pounding on a single sub. The pair will sound better in the process and have extra headroom in case you feel like getting abused by some bass every once in awhile.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I am going to go with 2 instead of one. I think I will either go with tc-1000's or idq's. Which of these 2 do you think will sound better? The price is real close. I don't want to spend a ton of money on subs.

Properly set up, I think you would be hard pressed to tell the difference.
