2 Sundown U 12's Sealed Encl.

anyone have any experience with a pair of Sundown U 12's in a sealed enclosure? just curious how well they'll sound/do if given the proper amount of power. trying to decide if i should go sealed or ported. i'm in to metal and rap. cross between fast drums and deep bass when needed. main goal is sound quality, but i would certainly like to get very loud as well. thank you guys.

No one here will say sealed is a good idea. Go ported around 32hz. That's what I use and I don't listened to edm/rap.

I would go prefab ported before sealed. If you have the room, go ported. There should be a prefab out there designed for that Sundown 12's. It's always better to have one built, but life happens and a prefab is a quick fix. Not preferred though.

well, i went to gately audio and they have a ported at 32hz 4.75 1 inch birch wood. that's what i was looking at. just curious about a sealed option if that's better for SQ.
