2 subs @500wrms or 1 sub @1000wrms?

So here is my current set up:

- Alpine type-r 12, 600wrms model

- MRX-M50, pushes 500wrms

Here is what I am considering:

1)

-Add another 4-ohm 600wrms Type-R 12

-Add another MRX-M50

-Buy new box

2)

-Buy one type-r 12, 1000wrms model

-Buy one MRX-M100, pushing 1000wrms

-Use same box

I'd go with the two type rs on 1000 watts

2 AAAARRRRSSSS!!! More cone area=more bass. I haven't heard too much good on the new Type R's either. Haven't heard much at all....
