Hello all this is my first post hear seems some very usful info on the site.

Ive been fabricating my install for the last few months and now it come to wiring it all up. Ive got 2 12" Rainbow hammer subs these are dual coil, Im going to run them off an Alpine PDX 1.600 which apparently can deliver the same power in 2ohm as 4ohms...(lost already!) Which way round is best if its the same power does it matter??

Also im adding a alpine pdx 4.100 to power the 2 sets of front componets . No problem here seem straight forward enough. But Ive got to add a second battery ive read about a split charge relay but not compleatly clear on it. How do i go about wiring in the battery?

No need for a battery isolator. Get two fuses, a bunch of 1/0 wire, and wire the battery in the trunk. Put a fuse at each end of the + wire, as close to each battery as possible. Ground the battery in the trunk with 1/0.

Power for both amps should come straight off the rear battery. Power and ground.

As for how to wire the subs. Series / Parallel wiring. I am, of course, assuming your subs are DVC 2 or 4 ohm.
