2 subs 1 Box?

What are the advantages/ dis-advantages of having 2 sub's in one box with no divider?

If one sub blows the other will play fine if they are in separate boxes. If they are in a common one and a speaker blows then the box will be too big for the other sub.

It should sound better because slight difference in t/s parameters are balanced between them, but that difference is so small it won't be audible anyway.

There isn't any advantage realistically, there is the disadvantage of a naturally weaker box, and the possibility of failure of both subs if one fails
