2 Solo X 12's vs 2 Kicker L5 15's?

He's new guys, not a troll. I would agree that most of the crappy Kicker setups were just not properly installed. Everyone on here that wants to knock on a brand of sub knows it's the vast majority the enclosure and power, not the sub itself. Why will you people back other trash brands and tout that it is the box but when it's a Kicker thread, all of a sudden it's the brands fault?

There are definitely better options out there, but Kicker products are good and can get very loud while sounding good. Proper install is the missing link to this formula.

This goes back to the "you cant afford JL" thing. Pretty sure most of us can afford whatever we want. Maybe not 2 DDZs but atleast 1

Nothing I said is akin to the "you can't afford JL" thing. I simply stated that all setups have an ability to be loud, regardless of the brand of sub used. I also said that quiet Kicker installs could be attributed to the enclosure and install, not the brand of sub. You are right, I could afford 2 DD Zs, but for a loud daily application I came out way better w/ my TRFs. Of course I have a wonderful enclosure, massive amonts of deadener, 10kw on tap, and a stout electrical. Anything that would have taken the power would have got pretty loud.
