(2) sa-8, sa-10?

I just finished tweaking everything in my daily driven '00 Grand Cherokee....... active 3-way front & a single SA-12, 1.65 @ 32hz, off a PPI Art 600.2......& I love it.

Now I want an SA driver in my weekend toy, '00 Camaro Z28. This car is built from the ground up & already has a high output alternator, just for the performance upgrades. I don't want to go over 400-500RMS for my sub(s). Also, I only have about 1.5 cu ft of space to work with.

I actually already have an amplifier I think I'm gonna use, Crossfire CFA 390M. Rated 390 @ 2ohm, but it benched 440 @ 2ohm @ 14.4V. What setup will give me the most output?

(1) SA-8 @ 440 RMS

(2) SA-8 @ 220 RMS apiece

(1) SA-10 @ 440 RMS

+ I wouldn't lose my t-top storage & I can re-use my amp rack.

I'm thinking I can make a ported box for a single 8", where I previously had a sealed JL 10W1v2.

The loudest single 10'' I've had was an L5 in the Kicker ported box. Sounded like shit, but it got pretty damn loud.

I'm thinking a ported SA-10 will get louder, lower, & definitely sound better than my old L5.....but how much power is it gonna take?

Sa wont need much power.

The 2 8"s should have the most output. With that power it would make more sense to go with a pair of the E8v.2. Or a single SA8.

I almost put 2 SA-8's in my Jeep instead of the single SA-12.

they can take quite a bit of power...here's a vid my boy took of my sb1 run with one sa-10 on 2 crunch gp3k's strapped at 4ohm. rolled into it as it was my friends woofer and i didn't want to blow it...lulz

that's insane.

I had my SA-12 hooked up to a ZED Crunch 250 putting out 500w & it got loud, so I'd say 450 should move an SA-10.

Sa's have been known to take the power, it's their amps I don't like. That's just me. I wish Hank would double the power he has going to his 48 Sa-10's.

I am totally impressed by their subs. If I didn't use TREO SSi's I'd probably rolling w/2 Sa-10's.
