2 ?'s for those who know about L7's

ok so im very sure ive made up my mind. i just need some advice from some of u who know about the L7's.

i decided on buying 2 12" 2004 L7's. i think these would be perfect for my taste in music (rap/hiphop,techno, and heavy bass). as i am more of a loudness guy than sq. just a bit above minimal sq is all i ask for.

now my 2 main questions would be, which box? and how to power them?

after much research i found that a ported box is the obvious way to go with these. but i never found a definite answer on how much cubic feet u should allow per chamber. so what would be the ideal amount for better spl and also tuned to what? i found a vented box on ebay with 1.8cf per ,tuned to 36htz. is this good?

also i have NO knowledge on how to build your own box, im sure its easy, but i dont have any materials or tools to do so either.

as for the amp, i need to know if 1 hifonics bx1500d would be enough to power these? as this amp is right in my price range. if not how much more powerful of an amp do i need? is it best to just put 1 amp to each sub? if yes how powerful of an amp?

all in a 2000 Mercury Mountaineer so space is no prob.

something that does 1500 watts at 1 ohm cause im sure they are dual 4s.. and around 5^3 ft would do great.. i got a box for sale for 2 12" L7s so pm me if ur interested.

usually a bigger ported box the better...get two DVC 4's to get the 1 ohm load your looking for...in the right ported box, can get loud yet retain some SQ if you do the right box.

thanks polecat.. i want to ask u because it seems u have a good reputation of knowing kicker. which amp do u recommend to power both of these to their full? and how much cf should i allow in order to make it the RIGHT box? thanks again man

well, if you want to retain some SQ, 1.75 will work, but around 2.25 to 2.50 per driver will be better, and any amp, like a Kicker KX12001, or equal amp will power them nicely.
