these woofers are 100% functional and 9/10 cosmetics. They were only played by the original owner for about 3 weeks on 2 HFI2000D. I called US Amps about them because the coils looked a bronze color, and tech support said they're fine, and insured that it's normal for those woofers coils to turn bronze, and that there was no need to worry about them unless you are worried about what color your coils are. I texted him a pic of the coils and he said they were fine, and to test them with power, So I ran them in my car for about 2 weeks on about 4500 watts and they performed magnificently. Their is nothing wrong with these woofers at all, and if you like low bass, these are the industry's #1 woofer, and the sound quality at the volume they can produce is unbelieveable. These woofers came from an RE Dealer, and cost 1450.99 each, I know their are made in china knock offs on ebay for $500-700 each, but they're not as good as the hand crafted ones made in Cali.

$700 plus $60 shipping, and shipping will cost more than that, I'm estimating half on shipping

why in the world would you answer a question about my thread, the price is for both, and I never said anything about these woofers being as good as the old xxx, or even as equivelent, read back in the post. These re xxx aren't even the same type of woofer as the old xxx, the ols 12 pin baskets were spl woofers, these xxx, the new ones are sql woofers, and the best sql woofer you can buy. As far as retail goes, they retail for 1299.99, ebay doesn't set retail, manufacturers do. Call US Amps and ask them what retail is on a 12" re xxx, and they'll tell you. But why are we talking retail any way, can't you plainly see by the post that the price is for both, I clearly stated that "2) RE XXX 12"" and as far as knock-offs are concerned, all I said was these xxx came from an authorized re dealer, and the original owner paid 1250 each for them, if it says 1450 that's a typo, my bad. There are some people in the world still that buy from real dealers, and don't take the chance of getting knock-offs, or slightly imperfect equipment. You'd be suprised at how good some of this equipment really is, if you'd buy the real thing, and here is 2 12" re xxx's that are 100% authentic. Any mass produced, or commercial brand in this industry has knock-offs, and yes it is infringment, but so is all the coach bags on ebay, and designer cloths, and everything else that's knock-offs on ebay. do you think the $40 jordans are authentic, no, people break laws. Why do you think one of the reasons, or selections they give you on ebay when you return something, or are disatisfied with something is to check knock-off, not authentic, because it's all over the place, it's just hard to prove who's selling it, and prove it's a knock-off when it comes to car audio, because a fake kicker sub looks real, because they're subwoofer and the material isn't really tradmarked. look, all I want to do is trade or sell some equipment, some of you just have a way to read what you want, interprit it how you want, and start posting non-sence. But to set the record straight, there is more knock-off car audio online, and slightly imperfect car audio on line, than there is good authentic equipment, period. I know this for a fact, I'm a marketing executive, I'm a ceo of an Inc., I do this for a living all day everyday, and I have an obligation everyday to ensure the equipment my company sells is authentic, thank you for reading. and again the price is for BOTH

Also, I see where you guys made the conversation about how you thought they were the 12 pin basket models, Re doesn't own that design anymore, the tech that does is building crossfire now. I know all about the old re xxx, and if I had them they wouldn't be for sale, lol, yes they are great subs. I have over 100 woofers in my own personal collection, and those re xxx, the 12 pin basket ones, I'd buy off the first person to post them. But if interested in those 12 pin basket ones, the mt's are what they make now for spl, and the crossfire sx-spl's are about the same thing

and yes re does still build the xxx, and mt's in america, the ones on ebay are the out sourced builds, most of them, some china manufacturers are authorized to build, most aren't though, and that's where you get knock-offs. but as of 2011, there are no china built xxx, or mt's

old xxx's were anything but spl woofers. as to your claims of different xxx's made in different build houses is entirely false. they do not build any in china. all are built in usa. quit claiming that just because you don't pay dealers ungodly high prices you don't get the same product

there's so much BS and misinformation on this thread i suggest you delete this one and start a new one. if this were in any section but the classified section you're posts would have been ridiculed beyond belief.

nothing is this npost is false from me, there is knock-off xxx made in china, go on alibaba.com and see for your self, and the old 12 pin basket xxx were use in competition as spl woofer, I have a friend that had 2 in a wall and bursted 162db at 48hz, if that's not spl I don't know what is, I think too many of you take things the wrong way, but just to clear the record, all real re xxx, and mt's are built in the US, and dealers costs are not always high, it depends on what dealer you buy from. A lot of people do not know all that's out there, call any manufacturer you want and ask them if there is imitation equipment of theirs out there, and I gaurantee you they'll say yes, commercial mass produces manufacturers that is. If you look at this entire post, you will see that most of the BS didn't come from me, I was just clearing up the misunderstandings. But if anybody actually thinks that every bit of car audio equipment out there is authentic, so be it. I never said I wanted these high dollar amounts for anything, I just posted what the original owner paid for these from an authorized re dealer, but nothing I said in any post, is false. As far as the claim that you "have to pay ungodly high dealers cost" to get authentic equipment, was never said by me. But if you think that the old xxx's aren't spl woofers, and post so arragantly that "they are everything but spl" is the simple reason I tell all my customers, never do your research through discussion forums, 90 % of the posters, don't know ****. As far as all re xxx being built in america, that's false, there are imitations. Just an example, go to this link and look at all the different manufacturers making these kicker subwoofer Kicker-Kicker Manufacturers, Suppliers and Exporters on Alibaba.com and if you think all of these woofer are authentic, you're wrong. and while you're on that site, search for different equipment, and see how many manufacturers make all of the commercial brands, hell I talked to one that was going to sell me brand new solo x 18" for $195 each, but they were knock-off, why, because kicker didn't authorize them to produce it, ****, this is 2 12" re xxx for sale or trade, not an arguement, I know what I know, you think what you think, I can back everything I say with facts. Go back through this thread, and anything that I said, if you think it's false, tell me what it is and I'll prove it

everything you said is false. There are 0 knock off XXX subwoofers. A company as large as RE audio would not let them. The original XXX, which I have owned more then one of and is my favorite subwoofer, is not a SPL driver it is a sq driver. People like YOU are the reason we tell people not to listen to shops as the think they know a lot and are clueless and end up costing people. You show a link about kicker subs being knock off's but I see no proof of a XXX being the same. Oh and I don't know whether to laugh or cry at your friend burping 162 with 2 XXX's.
