2 RE SE 12" or 1 RE SX 15"???

Once I sell some stuff I plan on buying a Viper D1200.1 and hooking it up to either 2 RE SE 12's or 1 RE SX 15... Either way I will be putting them in a ported box built to RE's specs, which I plan to build myself.

So I need help deciding what to get. 2 RE SE 12's are $370 shipped to me (no dealers around here) But I don't know the price on the 15" SX, anyone know?

The box needs to fit into the far back area in my trunk, which is only 13" High, 40" or so deep, and 36" wide. So getting the box to fit ia a big factor obviously, which I know will be harder with the 15, since I will definitely have to angle it a lot. (I don't want to face it upwards... gotta let the RE do it's bling thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif )

I listen to pretty much everything, a lot of rock and rap mostly, but sometimes other stuff. So I want good SQ. (At least maintain it's SQ better then these **** MTX's do when they get loud) And of course I want it loud, but to still sound good.

So 4 questions:

1. Have I made a good choice deciding between these subs?

2. Which will get louder? (given they are in ported boxes at say.. 35 hz to RE's specs)

3. Which will sound better?

4. Which is the better deal for my $?

Btw my car is a 2 door coupe with trunk separate if that effects anything.

you should just buy my sx and orion 1200d I can give you my word it will get real loud. And req can and forman have heard the setup off a orion 600d not I have a 1200d on it so they know how loud it can do with the 600 lol

i had pics posted in a thread that has it for sale, the sub is in pretty good shape with 1 scuff on a small part of the suround and other than that its fine. And the orions I have are in great shape. I just got them yesturday.But theres a long story to why, I am selling my stuff etc. But I have refs to prove I dont lie about the stuff I have and forman and req have seen the sx and can vouch for the condition of it as well.

Okay cool. Well I have talked to req quite a bit he really helped me a lot and talked me out of selling my Kicker amp for real cheap thinking it was broken when it wasn't even the problem lol. So I trust ya. Still depends though, I really wanted to buy new so depends on price etc. We can talk more about it tomorrow, thanks man.

Cant go wrong with either, the SX 15" should be a little louder, I have 2 SE 12's ported and they are excellent SQL woofers. Id like to do 4 SE 12's sealed...

I have 2 SE's and they are GREAT... the SQ is definately there. I have not heard the Sx's but from what I read they are louder... its really your trade off, if you are looking for something that thumps the Sx's have been recommended...

As far as VOA's stuff, I searched for his thread, and bumped it...

I think that you should definately consider getting his stuff...

K, well I had that L5 that I am trying to sell and I want what I get to be louder than it, but I want the best SQ I can get also. I had the L5 sealed, do you think the SX 15 will get louder than the sealed 12" L5? (I'm thinking yes and if it is than that sounds like the better deal)

from what I have heard the SE's kill the L5's in both SQ and SPL
