2 RE re 8'' in ported box help please

Hey guys...my bro has two 8'' re re subs left...from the four he has... anywho there in some fiberglass sealed enclosures and i want to make another box for them. Ive never buildt a ported box but they dont seem that hard. Anyways im wondering if 2 cubes is gonna be ok for this? well actually smaller because im using .75 mdf and outside dimensions are 12hx24wx12deep. I think i want to tune it to around 28hz. or should i go higher? also ive tried some of those software and they giving me different port lengths. but there all saying about 1'' wide for portwidth. is the length gonna be around 25''?? So basically you need someone to design you one?

2 cubes is to large. 28hz is fine, but you will have better results tunning a bit higher. Use at least 20 square inches of port area. It will keep the port noise to a minimal increasing the SQ of the box

give me a shout and i'll help you out sometime on AIM.. 1.5 cubes before sub and port displacement is as big as i'd go with 2 8" re's...

what better results would he have tuning higher? if he wants optimal sq for a ported box, 28 Hz is a good choice.

ok 1.5 cubes would be better for me too! the smaller the better! Could someone design me a box then for 1.5 cubes? tuned to 29hz
