I would personally go 2 12's, but that is just me. I'm not real sure if a more powerful 12 would be louder then 2 12's half its power.

What you should be debating is 2 12's or 1 POWERFUL 15 (or 18).

it all depends on what ur looking at if it is 2 12inch pyramids with 400 watts a piece and then 1 12inch xxx with 800 watts then id go with the xxx b/c it is the better sub, but which subs are u looking at and how much room do u have for a box????

somethin' like that, all i know is once your dbs get up to like the 140-150 range, it gets harder and harder to get louder.
