2 ohm or 4 ohm for jbl bp1200.1

Either one will work, the BP1200.1 is 1 ohm stable.

Produces 1200 @ 2ohm

Produces 1200 @ 1ohm (underrated, nearly 1440)

If you wire to 1ohm you might want a fan on it though, since there is none internally.

 
Since there is no (or very, very little) increase in power by running the amp at 1ohm, I'd get the D4 version and run the amp at 2ohm. No need in putting any additional unneeded stress on the amp.

true, and if you ever wanted to double up your sub, you'd have an easier time doing so, for most amps do their best at 1 or 4 ohms.

 
guys thanx alot now is there a certain way i have to wire the sub so the amp is at 2 ohms
