I am running a PPI P900.5 with ID CX62s, ID XS28s, and ID 12" sub. I'm relatively knowledgeable about car audio, but have never experienced this. I could tell from when I installed everything that the amp is pretty crappy due to the alternator whine I get that definitely comes from the amp.
My current issue:
Ever since it has gotten below freezing, my driver side mid and sub do not work on my drive to work. When I leave work, everything works fine. This happened 3 days, mostly randomly, always the same circumstance (those two speakers not working in the morning and working when I leave).
I traveled to Canada this past week and when I returned (it was around freezing) I had the same issue. I messed with the RCAs and checked all of the wiring.
Is it possible that the cold weather is effecting two channels on my amp? Initially I figured that was the case, but now I am thinking maybe those two channels have just completely gone out. Any ideas or suggestions?
Once I get home, I will hook up a working speaker to those channels as well as put my DMM on them to see if there is output. I have not had the time to do this since I noticed the issue.
