2 obsidian 15 or 1 aq hdc3 15

Okay so I have 1 aq hdc3 15 on a soundstream rub1600d amp wired down to 1 ohm. Im considerig getting 2 obsidian 15s and was wondering if the obsidians would be better than the aq. I plan on keeping the soundstream amp. Any input will help. Im only 16 so im fairly new to this stuff. Thanks

the louder between the 2 would be the AQs.

The obsidians would be louder than the single aq if thats what ur asking

Okay will the obsidians sound better while being louder? I know the aq gets loud but ive noticed the sound quality isnt the greatest

Yes the obsidians have a bit more sq than the aq ..they will sound nice ..and can take a clean 1k-1200 each if you want ti upgrade power

I doubt ill be upgrading power for awhile I have a stock alternator and stock battery with an extra little kinetic 600 battery lol would it be worth going through the hassle of building a new box or will they be relatival the same? Also the aq doesnt get as low as I want.

It will be quite a big difference. put them in around 6-6.5 cubes at around 32htz with around 16"^2 of port should do the trick

Also the aq not getting low is all in the box ...i have 2 hdc4s and they kil lows

Alright ill probably give them a try. I had a box given to me for free for the aq and it hits about 40hz really well so I figured it was the box

Yea if its a prefab box its probably tuned in the mid 40.s

Dont waste ur money on a prefab...build a custom one ..will make them sound a million times better..lots of guys on here can design u a box or even build it for ya

2 Obsidian 15's are going to be louder, and sound better... NASTY said it all... including not wasting your money on a prefab!
