if you can keep a steady 12.5v + at full tilt, you will HEAR a big improvement from 10 volts. thats wayyyy to fckin low.

IF you don't get a battery now, you might not have an amp later! Are you trying to kill that amp? I bet you make a DB or 2 just by having your electrical at 14.4!
Box looks solid and there is enough port area - more testing and some different tones should do it - I got a torrent with every bass mechaniks CD's ever so if you need some tones I can mega upload them over to you.

yea, i understand that. this has only been an issue over the last 2 days though with the addition of the new HU. i might PM you in a few days for the tracks. i appreciate it.

im working on the extra battery. only time the amp will actually pull enough to drop the voltage that low is when the remote gain is turned up past half way. i leave it all the way down for DD and the voltage never drops like that soo.

i dont plan on doing any major testing right now, so the amp shouldnt see anything that low again for awhile. and by then i should have an extra battery so hopefully that means never see anything that low again.

Next time when we meter we'll have to try moving the box around . Ive got different results on box placement itself . Random results with different car for the obvious reasons. In some cases they were gains. I mean we tryed eveything else besides this lol .

Yeah You Would Deff Get A Better Score If You Had and Extra Batt Or 2 in The Back and w/ that extra space that spare is taking up you could build your self a better box and im sure youll hit 150 maybe more depends on tuning etc.. of the box, 6th Oder ftw?

i might be working a bunch in btwn semesters at college, so im hoping to make some money in the next few weeks. should definetly have enough money to pick up 2 batteries and maybe even a safari rack so i can get that back tire up on the roof.

A few suggestions for you from a previous ZJ owner/competitor. You NEED at least one extra battery in the back. Also, lose the over used CRX box, grand cherokees hate that set-up, I tested this quite a few times. That way is is about 2-2.5db down from other firing options. Subs forward/port back (if you're real worried about numbers), or everything facing back.

It's also good you didn't tune at 32hz, my GC hated boxes tuned that low and you'll just end up with over-emphasized bass from 30-40hz, a peak at 45-48 and a big roll off from there.

im not too worried about numbers right now as im still in school and i dont reallly have time to make it to competitions and what not. maybe a few local ones during the summer, but other than that its just a DD. i was just curious to see what i was putting up.

as for the box style, idk. everybody always said port back sub up for an SUV so thats what i went with. im honestly not sure how much longer ill even have this set up. im loking to something a bit bigger in the summer so maybe then ill play around with a new box style. thanks for the input though.

and kyle, ill be home this friday until mid january. id like to try and get everybody together. we alwasy say were gunna do it, but it just never comes togetehr.
