2 mono amps = stereo?

ok say, for example, some idiot kid has like a million eminence speakers and you would need like 84 stereo amps to power them, and it'd be easier and cheaper to run mono amps, say you run 1 mono amp to the left side and 1 mono amp to the right side, would that be the same as stereo or not? lol prally a stupid question

Yep, that'd work fine. Get 2 monster amps that can push a 1 ohm load and pile the drivers on until you get that load on each mono amp - one for left speakers and one for right. Unless you need to cross those speakers off differently...in which case, your need for multiple channels just increased unless you go with passive crossovers between the amps and speakers..

look on the amplifier specs. It usually says up front which frequencies it plays to. A lot of mono block amps are only for subwoofers and only play till 400hz or some where near by.

See if the frequency response is listed.

Or see if the amp has a nondefeatable or nonbypassable lowpass filter.

Chances are good that if it's a class D, and it's a monoblock, it's probably bandwidth limited. If it's a monoblock class A/B, then it's a tough call.

easiest way to tell, is if it had filters, ie low pass, high pass, and full.

if no filters, sub amp, ie 300hz and down.
