the subs handle 750rms each and i have em wired down to 2 ohm each and the amp is powering 1200rms at 2 ohms so i have the level a little over half so it don't blow up the subs. thats why i was thinking to get a new amp.
Ok i think ur confused if u have each sub wired to 2 ohms each then thats 1 ohm not 2...that thing proly does around 1500 at 1 ohm which is 750 a sub...and if your worried about blowing them why would u want a bigger amp when u are already at rms
the impala man is correct, the brz1700 is internally bridged, if you plug each sub @ 2ohms into their respective set of terminals. you got them at 1 ohm.
OP 2 12 CVX's is a decent amount of bass. And the amp you currently have is pretty decent. I have a feeling either you're running at 4 ohm or you need a new box. What do you have the subs in now? Ported or sealed or what? And how do you have the subs wired? Series or parallel?
