2 kennwoods 12's or 1 shiva?

peep the adire audio site.....

got useful info there...... as far as ohm / price etc..

shiva's have to be better than kenwood as far as spl and sq... those kenwoods ****!

these subs are good enough to bring out the missing bass. talk about low bass...

anyways..they are dual 8ohm, so i would highly recommend getting an amp that is bridgeable to handle 4ohm. i would get this amp:

http://thezeb.com/caraudio/us_acoustics.html

the USX2150. it is rated 150x2 watts RMS, but you can bridge the amp get get 450x1@4ohm. mind you this is rated at 12.9volts so most likely you will be getting little bit more power than that (close to or about 500 watts). price? $164.99 plus $6.95 shipping. not to mention you get 3 years warranty on this amp.

all i can say is usually people have some kind of experience w/something..... and if they like it they will promote it a lot!!

for example me....

like kicker L7

like some jl products

like hifoncis

like alpine hu

like eclipse hu but hate their subs

like pheonix gold amp kinda but hate thier subs.....

etc........

so u just gotta see what u like... listen to as much as possible...

try to find a base that u like and see ifu can get somethin that is an improvement, etc... just use common sense and don't go by everyone's opinion but if everyone says somethin sucks that bad, take it into consideration.....

there are 3 downsides to local dealers.

1. they don't carry as much brand (most are mainstream...u might like them, but can find a more potential speaker for less)

2. show rooms don't have the same acoustics as a car so sound will differ. might sound good in a show room, but in a car it might ****).

3. salesman..need i say more?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Dude, I'm also just getting into car audio and am getting subs soon. Thanks a bunch for the suggestion. And while I couldn't find that amp at the zeb, I did find it at crutchfield for 149.99 and 10.99 shipping. 160.98 total is a killer deal. Thanks dude. The only problem is if I get a sub (or two) that runs at 2 ohms. This particular amp is only 4 ohm stable when bridged.
