2 kennwoods 12's or 1 shiva?

i Am planing on putting some subs in my 69 GTO, I am going to buy the system at peice at a time since most my money is going into the engine and the body right now. But I was eye balling those shivas I hear about allot , I went out window shoping today a heard a pair of Kenwood 12's that didnt sound to bad. They happen to be on sale for 2 for $129. So whats your opinion on either gettgn 2 kenwoods or 1 shiva? I want some crisp base more on the sq side than anything.

what kenwoods were those??

all kenwood subs i heard sounded like ****!'

althogh i haven't heard shiva, i still wouldn't doubt that it is wayyyyy better than a kenwood sub!

I have never heard them myself, but from what i hear, the shiva is a SQ based sub that will also get fairly loud. I personally don't like the kenwoods...I was thinking about buying them at one point, but didn't like them at all. Hope this helps

True... but the only subs I personally liked were cadence subs, but that was back in 96 when i last listen to em.

i'd hate to see u spend your money on somethin that you have no idea how it is going to sound.....

ummmm u could just get somethin cheap in meantime and sell it later on to someone who is just enterin' "the game"

for example

2 12s kicker comp for 69$

not even close to being best subs, but good enough to add some beat behind some 6x9's lmao! i'm bout to order 2 of them b/c i wanna really see how they sound in car....

and shoot fairly cheap for 2 subs, and i know they sound better than kenwoods!!

Thats $69 for a pair? I heard kickers back in the day and didnt think they were too bad. Ill deffinatly check em out. That sounds liek a plan go cheap for now then get better later. I am fairly new at all this and I can use all the advise I can get. My main prob is I am a tight wod with my money.....

unfortunately...there aren't many adire audio dealers around, so the only way you can hear them is if you have a friend that has them. but adire audio is a reputable company, so u can't really go wrong with it. in a case you don't like them (i doubt it though ) u can always email dan wiggin (owner of adire) and complain to him but the shivas should beat the kenwoods in sound quality and possibly SPL too.

Well, thats kind of the problem is I don't know anyone with any adire subs around here. I never heard of them till I visited this sight accually. But I havent heard one bad thing about them and I like the price of the shivas. Since you know about them would one shiva suit me for a big size car. I just want a good sounding thump and feel it a bit too but nothign over board. Also how many ohms does each coil run on those, and what amp do you recomend if I WERE to get one? thanks bro. MAn i love the responces I get in here all u are allot of help....
