2 Gauge or 1/0 Gauge?

I'm upgrading my Power Wire for my Viper d1200.1 this week and I plan on buying 2 gauge for a good deal, but was wondering if I should just get 1/0 Gauge or is it a big difference. Right now I am running 4 gauge and I get too much dimming.

are you talking about just underhood wiring like the big 3? might as well get 1/0 for that and still run 4 gauge to the amp.

But in any case, it's better to be safe than sorry for the power wire. I'd just run the 1/0 back now and get it over with. Gives you room to upgrade later on.

not entirely true. i got less dimming when i went from 4 gauge to 2 gauge: battery to amp.

it helps with current flow, hence why you upgrade your wire when doing the big 3.
