2 dual 4s into a 2 ohm load?

I have 2 idmax 12 that are dual 4s, they're rated to handle 1000 rms and peak at 1800, is there any way I could wire these into a 2 ohm load to the amp to get 900 to each? Or should I get another to make 3 and give them 600 each if wired at 2 ohm. I looked in the vc wiring options up above and it didn't answer my question. Please help.

amp puts out 1100 rms @ 4 ohm

1800 rms @ 2 ohm

2300 rms @ 1 ohm

You options with a pair of DVC 4ohm woofers is 1 or 4 ohms, I would go for the 1ohm load. If you set you're gains properly you will have no problems.

yes, as long as the bassboost, bass (on the headunit) and EQ are all kept in check as well.

set EVERYTHING to flat, and turn the gain lower, and if you arent a freak and turn stuff up LOUD real quick or for long periods of time, you should be fine. and id NOT recommend them with that pwoer in a ported box eaither.

because a ported box generally uses more space and more space the less power needed to gain full excursion. (too big a boxx with too much power means boom on your cone) besides IDMax sound really nice in a sealed box according to car audio mag.

series each sub = 8 ohm load.parallel the two subs = 4

bridge the amp = each channel "shares" the load making the amp perform at a 2 ohm load.

this would work if you have a 2 channel amp... if not.. then like said above you would need to go 1 ohm or 4 ohm.

what size sealed box would you guys recomend. I heard that you could get more output out of a ported box. Would the sealed box get close to as loud and sound good doing it. I've never messed with sealed boxes but I have never had high quality subs like this though. Thanks

sealed usually means better sound quality requiring more power.. ported is more spl with less power
