fosgate punch hx2 all the same just picked up a 3rd one at a great price-$40- btw that amp holds stable when the subs are wired to .5ohm

How are you getting .5? I would wire the 2 dual 2ohms together for 2 ohm and then wire the 3rd sub to 2. this would give you a final load of .67.

Somebody double check my math and let me know if im wrong.

I am tracking that is right I come up with .667 for 3 2ohm drivers wired parallel and wired in series for 3 x 2ohm I get .333.

I am not expert on this but its what I came up with doing the math.

You've got 2x DVC with 2ohm and 1x DVC with 4ohm, right?

If so, I'd go for 4ohms total.

Wire the 2xDVC both to 1ohm parallel and then series, you'll get 2ohms then wire the 4ohm DVC to 2ohms and put it series to the 2ohms.

1st 2ohm dvc to 1ohm, parallel

2nd 2omh dvc to 1ohm, parallel

4ohm dvc to 2ohm, parallel

then, 1st and 2nd to series= 2ohms

after that, series with the 4ohm dvc (wired 2ohm parallel).

well why not do this?? i wired it up and checked it with a dmm

1st dual 2ohm wired in series to 4 ohm

2nd dual 2ohm wired in series to 4ohm

3rd dual 4ohm wire in parallel to 2ohm

final load=1ohm
