Whos is louder Just a comparison he thinks his is louder but i dont have my cd player yet to tell? DHD any good or what? WHOS IS LOUDER?

DHD is definatly lower end. You should be able to find a mic at a local audio shop in your town.

in case you were misinformed this is the ineternet and we cannot listen to either system through the internet. since you have a type r and a speakerman box, you will no doubt be the loudest in the county period.

DHD = $HIT . small bird bath or expensive toilet paper. Sounds like he paid exactly what he paid for it too. Oh and in you link its right the sub

alpine > DHD

though dhd is half decent for being a cheap generic brand, upper end of the crap quality if you will....made by same manufacture as volfenhag.

his amp = garbage

you amp = garbage but not AS bad garbage

you both have prefabricated box's, and prefab boxes tend to have HORRIBLE build quality and tend to be leaky.....and seeing as how 80% or so of the accualy sound reproduction is reliant on the box, prefab is BAD.

that being said the question is which setup is going to sound worse.........?

but since this ais a forum to edjucate i will go as far to tell you that depending on the cars they are going in and the actual install (subs being faced the right way and what not) will also play a factor.

do rest assured that the quality of your alpine sub is better and with the a ported box built RIGHT and a nice amp (to hell with audiobling amps, they tend to ****) and other factors right, your sub has the potential to blow his away.....

a spekrman box is not considered prefab. he is a box builder who builds custom enclosures. in case you haven't noticed this dude had great success with a type r, now only he can make a good box, and all other subs ****. he can also tell you how a sub will sound in your own vehicle, even though he never listened to the sub in your vehicle. if he can't make a sub loud, it isn't a good sub.

you are gonna order a meter online? they cost about $600. just find a shop with a termlab.

Dude u really cant tell. It all matters on the install if he has that box ported and speced right he probably will get u. Ive heard crappy speakers wang hard but didnt sound real good. But dont let the name fool you. It also depends on the car and insulation its hard to tell.
