Right now their in a fiberglass box and wired at 4 ohm..they sound good but seem like they could be louder. What my question was, if I turned the gains all the way down on the amp and just used my setting on my HU could I wire them to 1 ohm? Or would it be too much power...I know their 800 rms, but I also know dd under rated their stuff.

Very nice amp. I wish I had your dilemma... haha.

You will be fine. Set your gains correctly, make sure you have good electric going into it, and don't abuse it.

thank you, its actially only my 3rd system..my 1st was 2 pioneer tsw304dvc's on spl 2000...then saz2500 on 2 rf t2d415s (my saz blew them like they were nothing) and now im with 2 dd 12s i got from nbugart (recommended seller btw) and another thing is..i have the subs wired at 4 ohm..and when i turn up the gain/sub freq/bass boost/lpf anything on my amp it doesnt sound like its even making a dif. i had alll my gains all the way down and it sounded the same as all gains at 20% and 40%
